Barry Russell - Founder & CEO
Barry has brought his unique experience
in the medical devices industry to bear
on neoSurgicals
philosophy and operating principles.
A Technology Btech (Hons) graduate from
the University of Limerick, Barry spent
5 years developing his technical and engineering
skills post graduate. Most notably, with
Boston Scientific, he gained valuable experience
in both Process and Product Engineering
in the Medical Devices industry.
Barry made a career and perspective transforming
move into the area of Medical Device commercialisation
when in 2000 he joined Johnson & Johnson.
Following a successful transition period
to front line Sales & Marketing roles
and after attaining the coveted 'Sales Person
of the Year Award' Barry moved into a Business
Development Management role. A Johnson &
Johnson supported Executive MBA(Hons) at
DCU and further successes at management
level meant an elevation to Director Level
and a seat on the board of management of
Johnson & Johnson Medical Irl. Ltd.
Barry had the great fortune and privilege
in leading their very successful surgical
businesses, Ethicon Endo Surgery &Ethicon
including Ethicon's Urology and Women's
Health Division, to a market leading positions
in the Irish market. During his tenure he
also had the opportunity to input and contribute
to the strategic international direction
of these businesses.
With his technical experience and his broad
and varied customer interaction Barry has
developed a clear perspective and vision
on the needs of the practising surgeon.
Barry now wants to put this vision into
action with neoSurgical
in providing 'Clever Products for Better
Patient Outcomes'.

Pauric O'Grady - Chairman
Pauric has over 36 years
of commercial experience in the Medical
Devices industry.
Throughout his long and distinguished career
with Johnson & Johnson he has fulfilled
a succession of senior executive roles and
functions including many international assignments
in the UK, Middle East and Nordic markets.
He returned to Ireland in the late eighties
when he was appointed Managing Director
of Johnson & Johnson Medical Ireland
Ltd. This company has been a leading light
within the J&J EMEA group of companies
and under Pauric's stewardship has consistently
delivered high double digit growth and unparalleled
performance.
Pauric took early retirement in mid 2007
and has committed his time since then to
a number of voluntary projects and medical
charities. Pauric has come on board with
neoSurgical in Jan 2009.

Ronan Keating, R&D
Director
Biomechanical engineer with over a decades
experience and an exceptional innovation
and leadership track record with the successful
medical devices start-up MedNova and with
a global leader in medical devices, Abbott
Vascular. In 2008, Ronan was awarded the
coveted Abbott Vascular Innovator of the
Year Award and has also completed a 6 month
secondment to the Abbott Vascular R&D
HQ in California. He has recently completed
a Masters of Engineering Science at NUIG.
Ronans broad experience across a range
of technologies, materials, processes, design,
and people leadership positions him well
to lead neoSurgicals technical team
and programs.

Richard Dunphy, FCCA.
Operations and Finance Director
Richard has 38 years experience in Financial
Accounting, Management Consulting, Manufacturing
and Financial services. Worked with Irish
Life, KPMG and US multinationals in Ireland,
UK and Europe. Has board level directorship
experience in dealing with Banks, Auditors,
Revenue, IDA, Pensions etc and has been
involved in FDA approved facilities, Sarbanes
Oxley, Health & Safety and Quality programmes.
A self starter with significant strategy
and change management experience, Richard
will play a key role in the fast growth
planned for the company, ensuring smooth
operation and optimising the returns for
all stakeholders. Richard has come on board
since May 2009.

Diarmuid O'Riordain,
MD, FRCSI. Clinical Director
Diarmuid has 25 years of surgical experience
and has specialist expertise in Colorectal,
Gastrointestinal Surgery and Laparoscopic
Surgery. He has trained at some of the leading
academic medical centres in the United States
including The Mayo Clinic Rochester Minnesota,
Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center New
York, the Brigham and Womens Hospital
Boston and Harvard Medical School. He was
Consultant Surgeon at St. Jamess University
Hospital and Senior Lecturer in Surgery
at University of Leeds before returning
to Ireland in 2001. He is currently Chair
of Surgery at the UPMC Beacon Hospital Dublin
and Consultant Surgeon at the Adelaide and
Meath Hospital Dublin, and Naas General
Hospital and Lecturer in Surgery Trinity
College Dublin and is a member of many prestigious
International Surgical Societies. Diarmuid
is a vastly experienced Laparoscopic Surgeon
and performs well in excess of 500 laparoscopic
surgical Procedures per annum. Diarmuid
has a key clinical and surgical input into
the design, application and endorsement
of neoSurgical products.
